On Feb 10th you said:

"Hello there sister-in-raw! I see you like to travel to tropical places. I hope to one day. I would like to visit Panama! (~_~) "

Sorry it took me SO long to get back.. All I can say is I'm glad February is OVER! : )

So yes, I love to travel in general.. but tropical is a passion. Where all have you gone?

What took you to NH from Jax if I can ask? I've never really been to the New England area except for a day in Boston last November after a couple days holed up in mtgs in RI somewhere! No chance to find any raw restaurants : ( Found all the cheap produce stands in Boston, however and REALLY wish we had that here in Tampa somewhere.. can't believe we don't!

Hugs!

In my spare time, I volunteer at a therapeutic horseback riding center working with special needs children and adults. It is the most rewarding work I have ever done in my life, so far.

I was wondering if you'd like to tell your story? I might be able to get you and the center a lot of exposure on a horse site that gets 800-1000 unique visitors a day.

If you'd tell this part of your story to me in an email, like you're telling a new friend.. how and why you came to love horses.. what your background and experience is with them, how and why you got involved with the center.. how horses and the experience at the center has influenced your life... transformed you and the kids.. and the adults. You can name the center, include pics, even a video if you want. It may need to go through some editing but don't worry about that. If it all works, which I can't see why it wouldn't, I'll make sure you get the final say and ok it before I let them put it up, fair enough?

If you're up for it, send me an email at farriershelp@gmail.com. Don't worry about the length.. You seem to love to write so it seemed like a natural fit to just tell your story... people will love it.

How much did you weigh at the beginning? I lost about 20 pounds over about 6 months. I didn't do much either, other than eat raw. What is your goal weight? How tall are you? I go by my clothing size, which is now a 6ish. I was a full 8 or light 10. I don't own a scale, so I do not my current weight. I don't want to lose any more, just maintain a healthy look. I am about 5'8".

Rawmaste, great to hear about the love for yoga. I myself have been practicing for 11 years and teaching for 7. It is my world, in many ways. Why do you continue to practice?

About Me:
I began transitioning from 11 years vegetarian to raw vegan in May 2007. Slimmed down 30 pounds along the way so far without much effort and very little exercise. All I did was change my diet to mostly raw foods and I incorporate ocassional exercise of walking, yoga, and some Qi Gong - I mix it up. I notice that my body craves movement if I go more than 2 days without doing something physical. That is a refreshing change as I am not a huge fan of exercising, as many people are not. So the fact that my body wants it all on its own is definitely a bonus. Nothing is fun when it is a chore.

Currently, I am eating primarily raw food cuisine with occasional steamed veggies and soups. The winter months seem to call me to warmer foods ocassionaly, although this is my first winter on raw food, so I am sure that will be different next year. I "Love" raw desserts, especially anything with coconut and/or cacao. I love to eat raw coconut butter right out of the jar. Love it! I know there are people out there that will say "you can't eat coconut butter and lose 30 pounds." Well, I'm here to tell you "Yes I can!" (~_~)

I Love the outdoors, nature and lots and lots of sunshine. I also use coconut oil on my skin to protect it from burning. I use it before and after I've been in the sun and my mild tan stays looking nice for much longer. I am a lover of animals, of which equines and felines are some fond favorites. I am always open for learning and growing. I have a very curious and investigative mind, and I love to laugh and have fun!

In my spare time, I volunteer at a therapeutic horseback riding center working with special needs children and adults. It is the most rewarding work I have ever done in my life, so far.

80/10/10 raw vegan recipes use fresh fruits and/or veggies and may contain a very small amount of raw nuts or seeds. Please do NOT use salt, oils, dehydrating, heating or dried anything. See how easy it is to keep it simple & eat so wonderfully!
